US Patent No. 11,826,447 B2 (Manying Shi, Yun Xu, Yuan Wu); Colgate-Palmolive Company, New York, NY, has patented a toothpaste containing an alginate; zinc compounds (comprised of zinc oxide and zinc citrate trihydrate in a weight ratio of about 1:2) and an abrasive (calcium carbonate). The toothpaste does not contain a polyphosphate and is free of nonionic surfactants.
